In November of 1997, Luke Caudle located property on trendy Lake Norman. In January of 1998, the Company closed on the property. Construction began in May of 1998. The “Lake Norman” store was designed with all the Midtown Sundries standards that are in each freestanding store. The Lake Norman store differs from the other locations because of its presence on the water. This store has dock space, sells gasoline and food items to boaters. The patio is much larger than other stores, with a portion of it having retractable windows as well as heat and air for use in both the warm and cold weather. The Lake Norman store was opened in January of 1999.
